16 Feb 2003 - Another treat filled day from old man winter!!!
Well, another cold wintry Sunday along this dirt holler road with lots of beautiful white snowflakes falling everywhere! They have forecasted 24 inches of snow before it stops sometime tomorrow!!! I am snow bound with lots to keep me busy, in fact too much to keep me busy!!! Have I mentioned how tired I am of SNOW!!!! *smile* Spring has to be just around the corner....either that or I am stuck in something like that movie "Groundhog Day"!!!!

I put a little tea cup cursor on my diary so when you are asked if you want to download a cursor, if you clik on the yes, you will have the tea cup as a cursor....if you clik no, then you will not see the tea cup as your cursor.....this will probably only be temporary, but it may keep me sane as the snow falls.....*smile*

It has been a beautiful weekend with lots of wonderful family activities such as making homemade ice cream, visiting with other family members while sitting around mom's kitchen table....namely, my daughter pebbles, captain ron, my sisters norma and bell, and also helping my mom celebrate her birthday! I have been very good though in my eating this weekend!

Also, I stayed up til 5 a.m. last night researching the family tree online. I now have several obits and some more text to add to my research. I just love how the web has made researching genealogy so very much easier than ever before!

Well, my son is clamering to use the computer. Since I am getting a late start today, I guess I will get off now and fix myself a hot steamy bowl of Cream of Wheat with just a touch of sugar and lots of cold white milk surrounding it. *yum, yum*

Thanks for stopping by!

16 Feb 2003 - my day so far...
Today has been a pretty nice day considerin'....We made corn muffins and a big pot of spaghetti...both turned out really good! Basically we are snowbound...kids in and out....tracking in snow and bringing lots of cold air inside. It takes me forever to get warm after they go in and out!!! But, they are enjoying the snow so that is a plus...

My van sets up at mom's with a flat tire. Pebbles' car sets outside covered with an unknown amt. of snow. I refuse to go out and measure it. I long for warm spring days, seeing robins hopping about; I long to be picking dandelion bouquets....or cleaning up the woods, or cleaning up the yard, or just to be sitting on a huge old rock up in the mountain while smelling the heat from the tall pines and feeling the warm sunshine falling down on my shoulders......but right now I am getting my share of snow, cold air, cabin fever....grrrrrrrr!!!!

I agree with becoming though after this winter if I am heard complaining about the heat just......no, maybe I better not say that as complaining about the weather is something I am so good at!!! *smile*

Here's looking forward to Tuesday and warmer days! Thanks for stopping by.

16 Feb 2003 - and another thing.......hehehe
Sitting here in the middle of what I am thinking may be called the blizzard of 2003. But, actually maybe it isn't. Have you ever noticed if you say something that later you wish you had never said that it is remembered by everyone that was within hearing distance; but, if you say something you wish everyone would remember and that they would remember that they actually heard it from your own lips, they seldom do.....what is that all about anyway? *smile*

Well, just a mind boggling thought that I had about life from here along a holler dirt road somewhar's in PA while watching it snow.........!

welcome
